Characters from Movement - Tenakee Springs AK - 2015

Creating Characters From Movement
2015
Tenakee Springs, AK

During a two-day residency, I worked with students to create and perform unique pieces of theatre.  Students studied pedestrian movement, as well as gesture, rhythm, and tableau.  They then used their knowledge of physical movement to create gaits and gestures for new characters.  Students developed monologues for their characters, and performed them for a peer audience on October 8, 2015.

This project was sponsored by the Alaska State Arts Council and Chatham School District through the Artists in Schools program.
